Luke Littler has consistently reached the final in each of the past four Premier League nights, showcasing remarkable consistency.
In a thrilling encounter, Luke Littler triumphed over Luke Humphries, securing his third consecutive night win and equalling a season record with his sixth victory in the Premier League.
Littler, aged 19, previously set the record last year and now has two remaining nights in the league phase to potentially surpass it.
The victory in Leeds follows wins in Liverpool and Aberdeen over the past two weeks, extending his lead at the top of the standings to five points.
The 2024 champion, having already secured his place in the play-offs at London’s O2 Arena on May 28, defeated Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the quarter-finals before narrowly surpassing Jonny Clayton in another closely contested semi-final.
He replicated the same scoreline in the final, marking his second consecutive victory against defending champion Humphries.
The final was a high-caliber match, with both players achieving averages exceeding 100 and checkout percentages above 45%.
Littler missed opportunities to break in the fifth leg, and Humphries had a chance to break and secure victory in leg 10.
However, Littler elevated his performance in the deciding leg to claim the win and prevent Humphries from achieving a third consecutive success in Leeds.
“I’ve just got to keep going – I can go and beat my own record,” Littler told Sky Sports.
“Even the win against Jonny [Clayton, in the semi-finals], I knew I was a few points clear. I’m in the clear now and I’ve just got to keep top spot.”

Despite another final defeat to Littler, Humphries experienced a positive night.
He began the night in sixth place, trailing fourth by five points before his run to last week’s final.
The world number two now holds the final qualifying spot following his runner-up finish and quarter-final defeats for Gerwyn Price and Van Gerwen.
Price, currently in third place, leads Van Gerwen in fifth by three points, setting up an intriguing match between the pair in Birmingham next Thursday.
One of them will fail to add to their tally, potentially improving Humphries’ position.
This event marked another improved performance for the 2024 world champion, and after deliberately slowing his throw down in Aberdeen last week, the Leeds United supporter appeared closer to his usual rhythm in front of the crowd.
Humphries is set to face Stephen Bunting in his opening match next week, following a narrow 6-5 victory against the same opponent in the semi-finals in Leeds.
A victory in that match could significantly strengthen Humphries’ position leading into the final week, where the fixtures are determined based on league standings after 15 weeks – aiming for a direct showdown between fourth and fifth for a play-off spot.
With five points separating Price and sixth-placed Gian van Veen, specific results next week could lead to a congested field and two play-off spots up for grabs in Sheffield on May 21.

Premier League Darts is contested across 16 initial weeks in the league stage, featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final each night.
Each of the eight players is guaranteed to face the other seven in the quarter-finals in weeks one to seven and 9-15, with week eight and week 16 fixtures compiled according to the table. It means we will get fourth v fifth in Sheffield on the final league-stage night, with the play-off spots potentially on the line.
Players earn two points per quarter-final win, an additional point for a semi-final victory, and five points for winning the night.
The top four players after the group stage advance to the play-off night at London’s O2 Arena on May 28, where first faces fourth and second faces third in a best-of-19-leg match. The final, contested over the best of 21 legs, follows.
If players are level on points after the 16 weeks, places are determined by nights won, followed by matches won.
