Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Residence Targeted in Shooting, Law Enforcement Confirms

Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at the Beverly Hills residence of renowned pop artist Rihanna, according to police reports.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time (21:15 GMT) on Sunday. Law enforcement officials apprehended a suspect at the scene.

CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, cited a police official confirming that the targeted property belongs to Rihanna.

Reports indicate that no injuries were sustained during the incident. Sources within law enforcement informed the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was present at the residence at the time of the shooting.

In September of last year, Rihanna welcomed her third child, a daughter, with partner A$AP Rocky.

The couple, who are also parents to two sons, Riot and RZA, revealed Rihanna’s most recent pregnancy at the previous year’s Met Gala.

The announcement of the couple’s new baby followed earlier headlines in 2025. In February, A$AP Rocky was acquitted of charges related to a shooting involving a former associate, during a trial in which Rihanna brought her two sons to court.

Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty in Barbados, rose to prominence in the early 2000s with hit songs such as “Pon de Replay” and “Umbrella.” She recently commemorated the 20th anniversary of her debut album release.

Over the years, Rihanna has expanded her portfolio to include multiple business ventures, notably her successful makeup line, Fenty Beauty, and a lingerie company. Forbes estimates the 37-year-old’s net worth to be in excess of one billion dollars.

The BBC has reached out to representatives for Rihanna for comment.
