Production of “Love Island: All Stars” has been temporarily suspended following the evacuation of the villa due to ongoing wildfires, ITV has confirmed.

The highly anticipated third installment of the dating competition spin-off, filmed in South Africa, was scheduled to premiere on Monday.

However, an official statement released via the show’s Instagram account stated: “The health and safety of our cast and crew is paramount and remains our utmost priority. Consequently, the broadcast of ‘Love Island: All Stars’ will be postponed until further notice.”

ITV has not yet released a revised premiere date or provided specific details regarding the resumption of filming.

According to reports from South African broadcaster SABC, authorities are collaborating with the South African Air Force to combat multiple fire incidents in the Western Cape province, where the “Love Island” villa is situated.

“Love Island: All Stars” adheres to the established format of the original ITV program, featuring former contestants returning to the villa for another opportunity to find love.

Hosted by Maya Jama, the initial cast of 12 includes former winners Jess Harding, 25, and Millie Court, 29.

Jack Keating, 26, son of Irish singer Ronan Keating, is also among the contestants.

Other participants include Belle Hassan, 27; Charlie Frederick, 31; Ciaran Davies, 23; Helena Ford, 29; Leanne Amaning, 28; Sean Stone, 26; Shaq Muhammad, 27; Tommy Bradley, 22; and Whitney Adebayo, 28.

During the peak of series 12 of the standard format last summer, which attracted 2.6 million viewers for the premiere, ITV reported a 9% year-on-year increase in streams on its ITVX subscription service.

However, the series faced criticism, generating over 14,000 complaints related to allegations of bullying, abusive behavior, and misogyny, particularly concerning divisions among female contestants.

The UK’s media regulator, Ofcom, determined not to investigate, citing that the problematic behavior “was not shown in a positive light” and aligned with viewer expectations of the program.

ITV has stated that participants receive pre-show training on “mutually respectful behaviour in relationships” and “behaviour patterns associated with controlling and coercive behaviour”.
