Timothée Chalamet Addresses Alter Ego Speculation in Collaboration with EsDeeKid

Timothée Chalamet has effectively silenced persistent rumors linking him to the enigmatic rapper EsDeeKid by appearing alongside him in a newly released video.

Speculation had been rampant that the Oscar-nominated actor was leading a secret double life as the masked musician, known for concealing his identity and revealing only his eyes.

Observers noted a perceived resemblance between Chalamet’s eyes and those of EsDeeKid. When the BBC inquired about the connection earlier in the week, Chalamet offered a cryptic response: “No comment… You’ll see, all in due time.”

The actor, who once performed under the hip-hop moniker Lil Timmy Tim in his youth, has now addressed the speculation head-on by releasing a video showcasing himself rapping alongside EsDeeKid on a remix of the rapper’s top 40 hit, “4Raws.”

In the video, Chalamet appears to acknowledge the rumors by initially concealing his face, revealing only his eyes in a manner reminiscent of the drill artist, before lowering his bandana and delivering the lines: “It’s Timothée Chalamet chillin’, tryin’ to stack $100 million.”

He then alluded to his partner, Kylie Jenner, with the line: “Girl got $1 billion.”

The video was filmed at Andover Minimarket Off Licence in north London and subsequently reposted by EsDeeKid.

The conjecture had gained considerable traction among fans in recent weeks, with both parties maintaining a studied silence as EsDeeKid’s track climbed into the UK top 10 and Chalamet promoted his latest film.

BBC Radio One’s Greg James also pressed Chalamet on the EsDeeKid connection during a recent interview, to which the actor replied: “All will be revealed in due time.”

James updated his caption on social media, noting “all was revealed.”

Chalamet also incorporated several references to his film, Marty Supreme, within the new collaboration, adding to an already sophisticated marketing campaign.

However, the notion that the two artists were one and the same, and that Chalamet could convincingly replicate EsDeeKid’s Liverpudlian accent, had always appeared unlikely.

Their collaboration quickly went viral, with British rapper Central Cee commenting “Naaa” accompanied by crying and laughing emojis, Tinie Tempah posting “Hahha this is sickkk,” and US star Shaboozey declaring “This going #1.”
