TV Presenter Woods Recovering After On-Air Collapse

Laura Woods is a regular presenter on ITV, TNT Sports and Amazon Prime

Broadcaster Laura Woods has confirmed she is “OK” after a brief collapse during ITV’s coverage of England’s friendly match against Ghana from Southampton on Tuesday.

Woods was assisted by fellow pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante in the opening moments of the broadcast, after which ITV proceeded to a commercial break.

Upon the program’s return, Katie Shanahan had assumed presenting duties, informing viewers that Woods had “taken ill.”

Woods later indicated that medical personnel suspected a viral infection as the cause.

“Gosh that was a bit weird,” she shared on Instagram.

“Sorry to worry everyone, I’m OK. Just need a bit of rest and hydration.”

She also expressed her gratitude, stating: “I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight and for Wrighty and Neets for catching me.”

Prior to Woods’ own update, her fiancé, Adam Collard, a reality television personality, addressed concerns expressed by fans on social media.

“Laura is all OK and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages,” he posted.

During half-time of the match, Shanahan reiterated: “As you may all be aware, Laura Woods fell ill at the start of the programme. We want to reassure you that she’s doing OK. We all send her our love.”

Woods is a prominent presenter for both men’s and women’s football coverage on ITV and TNT Sports.

Her background also includes work as a radio presenter on Talksport.
