Davina McCall is reportedly engaged to her partner of seven years, celebrity hairstylist Michael Douglas.
News of the engagement arrives just months after the television presenter shared the positive update that her benign brain tumour was “not coming back.”
A representative for McCall confirmed the news to the BBC, following initial reports in The Sun.
Douglas, who provided care for McCall, 57, at home following her surgery last year, recently described her recovery as “a huge journey.”
The former host of Big Brother has been married twice previously and has three children.
According to The Sun, McCall and Douglas first met on the set of the reality show in the early 2000s, where he styled her hair. Their romantic relationship began after her divorce from Matthew Robertson was finalised in early 2018.
McCall remains a prominent figure on British television. She is currently hosting Stranded on Honeymoon Island, a new dating reality show airing on the BBC.
In November, she underwent surgery after a colloid cyst was discovered earlier that month during a health check-up conducted as part of her menopause advocacy work.
In a poignant interview earlier this year, McCall described the craniotomy – a procedure involving the removal of a portion of her skull to excise the tumour – as “the hardest thing” she had experienced.
In a joint Instagram post shared in April with Douglas, McCall stated that recent MRI scans indicated the surgery “got everything out.”
The couple also expressed their “heartfelt” gratitude for the support they received from medical professionals, friends, and family.
