Uzbekistan Hails Armenia and Azerbaijan’s Declaration on Peaceful Relations: Foreign Ministry

Uzbekistan has expressed its appreciation for the significant progress achieved in the peace negotiations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement highlighted that the signing of the historic Joint Declaration in Washington was made possible by the strong political will and determination of the Leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the active peacemaking efforts of the President of the United States of America.

“We highly value the efforts of all parties aimed at overcoming the long-standing conflict. We are convinced that the early establishment of long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus will pave the way for the launch of major transport and infrastructure projects for the benefit of all peoples in the vast region,” the statement said.

The declaration on peaceful relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was signed on August 8 at the White House. U.S. President Donald Trump also signed the document as a witness.
