Brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher Faces Rape Allegation

Paul Gallagher, the elder brother of Oasis musicians Liam and Noel Gallagher, has been formally charged with rape.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, faces charges including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of sexual assault.

Additional charges encompass three counts of intentional strangulation, coercive and controlling behaviour, and two counts of making threats to kill.

Mr. Gallagher is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 27. BBC News has reached out to him for comment.

The alleged offenses are reported to have occurred between 2022 and 2024.

According to police reports, the charges are the result of an investigation initiated in 2024. Authorities have stated that a female victim is receiving support from specially trained officers.

Paul Gallagher is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam.

The three brothers were raised in Burnage, Manchester, but Paul has not been associated with the band’s activities.

Oasis is currently engaged in a highly successful reunion tour, with performances already held in Cardiff, Manchester, and London. Further dates are planned in Edinburgh and Dublin before the tour proceeds to North America.
