Six months following the M23 rebel occupation of Goma, a city in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, indications of stabilization are emerging.

However, the psychological impact remains significant for numerous women who endured sexual violence during the escalated conflict between the rebels and the Congolese armed forces.

BBC correspondent Paul Njie, who initially reported from Goma in February, has returned to the city to provide an update.
