Spain: Residents Evacuated as Wildfires Intensify

The Spanish Civil Guard has been at the forefront of evacuation operations as wildfires spread across the Toledo region.

In Méntrida and Calypo Fado, residents were ordered to evacuate their properties as flames threatened residential areas and consumed significant portions of woodland.

Authorities estimate that the fires have impacted approximately 2,500 hectares (25sq km) of land.
