Surkhandarya Region Tops List for False Ambulance Calls

Surkhandarya region has recorded the highest number of false ambulance calls in Uzbekistan during the first six months of this year, according to the Ministry of Health. The data was reported on the ministry’s official Telegram channel.

Throughout the country, the 103 emergency number received 849 false calls in the first half of the year. This represents a decrease compared to the 1,255 false calls received during the same period in 2024, indicating an improvement in the overall situation.

An analysis of the data reveals that Surkhandarya region accounted for the largest share of these false calls, with 177 incidents between January and June 2025. Qashqadaryo region followed with 140 false calls, while Samarkand region recorded 127.

In contrast, Syrdarya region reported the fewest false calls, with only 11 incidents. Notably, Namangan region did not register any false calls during this period.

Overall, the ambulance service in Uzbekistan received a total of 6,912,243 calls in the first six months of 2025, marking an 8.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
