The state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan to Mongolia concluded on June 25.
According to the President’s press service, the landmark visit, the first by a leader of Uzbekistan to Mongolia, marked a new chapter in bilateral relations and unlocked significant opportunities for the advancement of multifaceted Uzbek-Mongolian cooperation.
On June 24, in Ulaanbaatar, the head of Uzbekistan held talks with President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh in both narrow and expanded formats. Discussions centered on promising avenues for practical collaboration, particularly in trade, economic, and industrial sectors.
A Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Comprehensive Partnership Relations was signed following the discussions.
The two presidents, accompanied by their spouses, attended a joint concert featuring artists from both countries. Earlier today, the Uzbek leader and his spouse visited the “Ikh Tenger” complex, where the Presidents and First Ladies participated in a tree-planting ceremony. They also jointly attended a performance of the traditional “Naadam” games.
Upon completion of the visit’s program, the President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent. At the airport, the distinguished guests were seen off by Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkh Battsetseg and other officials.
