Komil Allamjonov has been appointed as an independent advisor to the new head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, on a voluntary basis. This was reported by Daryo.
In this role, Allamjonov will provide expert support in areas such as innovative economic development, investment attraction, freedom of speech, and support for independent media outlets.
It was previously announced that the President issued a decree restructuring the Presidential Administration. According to the decree, Saida Mirziyoyeva was appointed as its head.
Allamjonov served as the press secretary for the President of Uzbekistan in December 2017, and subsequently as the head of the Uzbek Press and Information Agency (reorganized into the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration in February 2019).
In January 2020, he became chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Supporting National Mass Media, and in July 2022, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.
From August 2023 to September 30, 2024, he served as Head of the Department of Information Policy at the Presidential Administration.
It is noteworthy that under his leadership, significant progress was achieved in implementing presidential priorities, including promoting freedom of speech, ensuring transparency in government operations, and improving the national education system.
