Government to Subsidize Half the Cost of Vehicle Adaptations for Disabled People

The Government has approved an Administrative Regulation for the state service of reimbursing costs for adapting vehicles for people with disabilities. The Ministry of Justice announced this.

According to the regulation, the state will cover 50 percent of the costs for adapting vehicles for people with disabilities, but not exceeding 30 BRV (Base Rate Value).

This will reimburse expenses for each bus belonging to entrepreneurs who won tenders for urban, suburban, and intercity passenger transportation routes before October 1, 2024, and provide services on these routes.

From November 1, 2024, the reimbursement provisions will also apply to one vehicle registered in the name of individuals with group I disabilities and for their personal use.

Vehicle adaptations for people with disabilities are defined as equipping them with the following:

For personal vehicles of individuals with group I disabilities:

Applicants must contact “Inson” centers, use the “Unified National Social Protection” information system, or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz) within 90 days of adapting the vehicle.
