BAKU/Trend/ – An Israeli F-35 fighter jet has reportedly been shot down in southwest Iran, according to Trend.
Reports indicate the pilot has been apprehended in a mountainous region within the country.
This follows Israeli airstrikes on Iran in the early hours of June 13th, resulting in significant casualties, including the reported deaths of high-ranking Iranian military officials such as Chief of General Staff Mohammad Bagheri, IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, two Hatam al-Anbiya headquarters commanders Golamali Rashid and Ali Shadmani, IRGC Air Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, nine nuclear scientists, and other senior officials.
Iran responded on the same day with a barrage of over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones targeting Tel Aviv and other areas, causing civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
