ANKARA /Trend/ – Turkey has offered to mediate between Iran and Israel to facilitate a swift resolution to the ongoing conflict.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan relayed this offer during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, Trend news agency reports.
Details of the conversation were released by the Turkish Presidential Administration. The statement noted that President Erdoğan has contacted several world leaders regarding the Israel-Iran conflict and that Turkey stands ready to act as a mediator to expedite conflict resolution and restart negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program.
President Erdoğan emphasized Turkey’s commitment to regional peace and stability.
