Israel Reportedly Neutralizes Top Iranian Nuclear Scientists and Experts

BAKU /Trend/ – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) neutralized nine leading scientists and experts from Iran’s nuclear program.

This was reported on Saturday by Trend, citing the official IDF Telegram channel.

“All neutralized scientists and experts were key figures in the Iranian nuclear program and possessed many years of experience in developing nuclear weapons,” the statement said.

According to the IDF, airstrikes neutralized nuclear energy experts Fereydoun Abbasi and Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Dariani; physicists Mohammad Mehdi Teheranchi, Amir Hassan Fahkhahi, and Mansour Asgari; and chemical engineering specialist Akbar Motalebi Zadeh.

In addition, the strikes killed materials science expert Said Barji, reactor physics specialist Abdulhamid Minoushehr, and mechanics expert Ali Bahuvey Katimi.

It should be noted that on the morning of June 13, Israel launched air strikes on Iran. The strikes killed numerous high-ranking military officials, including Chief of General Staff Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, as well as a group of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members, including IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, Khatam al-Anbia headquarters commander Gholamali Rashid, six nuclear scientists, and other high-ranking officials.

That evening, Iran responded to Israel with Operation “True Promise III”: over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones were launched at Tel Aviv and other areas, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
