Volkswagen to Partner with Uzavtosanoat on Uzbekistan Production

Volkswagen will begin automobile production in Uzbekistan in collaboration with Uzavtosanoat, as announced by Uzavtosanoat’s press service.

A new agreement between Volkswagen AG and Alyans Auto, a subsidiary of Uzavtosanoat JSC, was signed during the Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum. This agreement expands the model range to include modern passenger vehicles, from sedans to full-size crossovers.

All models will be adapted to local market conditions and consumer expectations.

“Located in the heart of the region, Uzbekistan offers significant opportunities for vehicle production and export. We see this partnership as a crucial step in expanding Volkswagen’s sustainable presence in this market,” noted Martin Sander, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG responsible for Sales, Marketing and After Sales.

The project will involve launching new production facilities, increasing localization levels, transferring technology, and developing the country’s automotive industry export potential.

Mass production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Since 2019, the plant, operating under the “Jizzakh Auto” brand, has served as the official manufacturer and distributor of Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles.
