Dua Lipa Confirms Engagement to Actor Callum Turner
The 29-year-old singer has announced her engagement to 35-year-old actor Callum Turner, describing the experience as “a really special feeling.”
Lipa and Turner, a London native known for his roles in *Fantastic Beasts* and *Masters of the Air*, have been together for nearly a year and a half. Turner also received a BAFTA nomination in 2020 for his performance in BBC One’s *The Capture*.
“Yeah, we’re engaged,” she revealed in a recent interview with British Vogue. “It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to share a life and be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
Engagement rumors first surfaced last Christmas after Lipa shared photos featuring a ring. She disclosed to Vogue that Turner designed the ring with input from her close friends and sister.
“It’s so me. It’s wonderful knowing the person you’re going to spend your life with understands you so well,” she shared.
While a wedding date remains unannounced, Lipa mentioned the need to complete her current world tour (concluding in Mexico this December) and Turner’s busy filming schedule. He is slated to star in Apple TV’s upcoming sci-fi series *Neuromancer*, an adaptation of William Gibson’s 1984 novel.
“We’re simply enjoying this moment,” she added. “I’ve never been one to dwell on weddings or dream about being a bride. Suddenly, I’m thinking, ‘Oh, what would I wear?'”
