Born in 1942 in Hawthorne, California, Wilson formed the band with his brothers Carl and Dennis, cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. The Beach Boys rose to become one of America’s most celebrated rock groups.

Their global record sales exceed 100 million, solidifying their place as one of history’s most commercially successful bands. Rolling Stone magazine ranked them 12th on its list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.”

Wilson penned numerous hit singles, including three number-one songs: “I Get Around,” “Help Me, Rhonda,” and “Good Vibrations.” His innovative studio techniques, particularly showcased on the album *Pet Sounds*, cemented his legacy as a pioneering musical figure.
