President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution “On the celebration of the sacred Kurban Bayram.” The document is published on the website of the President’s press service.
Taking into account information from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan that the first day of Kurban Bayram in 2025 coincides with Friday, June 6th, June 6th will be widely celebrated as Kurban Bayram throughout the country.
To ensure favorable conditions for a dignified celebration, Saturday, June 7th, 2025, is declared an additional day off for employees working a six-day week.
The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional administrations, and the Tashkent city administration, in collaboration with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations, are tasked with taking necessary measures to conduct Kurban Bayram in accordance with the national traditions and customs of our people.
The Tourism Committee, together with the Ministry of Transport, is instructed to create favorable conditions and opportunities for our compatriots to visit sacred pilgrimage sites and historical shrines during the Kurban Bayram holidays.
