O’Sullivan was knocked out of the second round of the World Championship by John Higgins
Ronnie O’Sullivan secured his place in the Snooker 900 Global Championship final with a decisive 6-3 victory over Kyren Wilson, winning three consecutive frames to seal the match.
O’Sullivan, the seven-time world champion and recent victor at the World Seniors Snooker Championship, established an early lead in Reading, highlighted by a break of 121 in the opening frame to go up 2-0.
Wilson, the 2024 world champion, responded by leveling the score and subsequently taking a 4-3 lead before O’Sullivan mounted a comeback to secure the win.
Luca Brecel will now face O’Sullivan in the final, following the Belgian’s 6-3 triumph over Joe Perry in the other semi-final.
Snooker 900 events are characterized by a 15-minute time limit per frame (900 seconds), a 20-second shot clock, and the implementation of a ball-in-hand rule following any foul committed.
