Manchester City’s assistant manager, Pep Lijnders, has addressed speculation surrounding the future of captain Bernardo Silva, stating that “every good story comes to an end.”
The midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, and he has yet to agree to an extension with the club. Silva has been reportedly linked with a move to La Liga’s leading team, Barcelona, Serie A’s Juventus, and clubs within the American league.
Manchester City secured the signing of the Portuguese international from Monaco back in 2017. He recently marked his 450th appearance for the club during Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final victory against Liverpool.
