Kirsty Muir’s impressive first run established an early lead over her rivals.
Great Britain’s Kirsty Muir has ascended to the top of the slopestyle World Cup leaderboard with one event remaining, securing her second successive victory in the French Alps.
The 21-year-old’s opening run in the final earned her a score of 82.78, surpassing Canada’s Elena Gaskell, who received a score of 76.60.
Austria’s Lara Wolf finished third with a score of 76.41.
Muir is scheduled to compete again at the alpine resort on Friday in the women’s big air finals, having qualified in first position.
This victory follows her near misses in securing a podium finish in the big air and slopestyle competitions at the Winter Olympics in Italy last month.
Muir believes she has ‘more to give’ following near misses at the Olympics
