London Spirit secured the women’s title in 2024; however, the men’s trophy remains elusive.
The London Spirit have announced the acquisition of England internationals Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton, and Charlie Dean among their signings for the 2026 Hundred season.
The Lord’s-based Spirit have made eight signings in total, bolstering their men’s squad with Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa and dynamic South African batter Dewald Brevis.
Australian all-rounder Grace Harris will continue with the franchise alongside Dean, while seamer Mahika Gaur and South African veteran Marizanne Kapp have been added to the women’s squad, which will be under the guidance of former England head coach Jon Lewis.
Kapp, 36, joins from Oval Invincibles, where she earned Player of the Match honors in the 2022 Hundred final. She has accumulated 46 wickets in the competition, placing her fourth in the all-time standings.
“It is brilliant to be able to call upon players of such calibre in the women’s game,” said Lewis.
“I am delighted London Spirit fans will see the return of two favourites in Charlie and Grace, and I know Mahika and Marizanne will provide real skill and experience to our bowling attack.”
Ahead of the auction in March, all Hundred teams are permitted to directly sign or retain four players – a new addition to the competition’s regulations this season.
Brevis, 22, holds the record for the highest individual T20 score in South Africa, having struck 161 off 57 deliveries in the CSA T20 Challenge in 2022. This will be his debut in The Hundred.
Livingstone transitions from Birmingham Phoenix, having been recognized as the men’s player of the tournament in 2021, while Overton aims to build upon his performance in the 2025 season, where he was Spirit’s leading wicket-taker.
Zampa boasts 30 wickets at an average of 13.13 in The Hundred. He holds the distinction of having the most wickets at the lowest average in the competition.
Elsewhere, Southern Brave has retained England pace bowler Jofra Archer and secured the services of wicketkeeper Jamie Smith, who was previously with Spirit.
Lauren Bell, who is currently showcasing her skills in India’s Women’s Premier League, remains with the 2023 champions, as does batter Maia Bouchier.
Meanwhile, New Zealand spinner Mitchell Santner and Australian seamer Kim Garth have been confirmed as Trent Rockets’ final direct signings.
Santner, 33, a left-arm spinner, has taken over 250 wickets in the shortest format, maintaining an average of just 23.96. He has served as his country’s white-ball captain since December 2024.
Garth, 29, is set to make her second appearance in The Hundred, having previously played for Manchester Originals (now Manchester Super Giants) in 2024.
