Noah Dettwiler’s racing journey commenced at the age of seven in the Swiss Supermoto Cup.
Moto3 competitor Noah Dettwiler is in “stable but still critical” condition following a significant incident at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The 20-year-old Dettwiler was involved in a collision with Moto3 world champion Jose Antonio Rueda during a sighting lap preceding their race.
Moto3 serves as the introductory class, positioned below Moto2 and MotoGP, within the world of motorcycle racing.
“Noah has undergone multiple surgeries in recent hours, which were successful,” stated the rider’s CIP Green Power team and his family.
“According to the medical professionals overseeing his care, his condition is stable, yet remains critical.”
“We appreciate your understanding and kindly request that the privacy of Noah and his family be respected during this time.”
“We extend our gratitude for the overwhelming support and messages we have received.”
Both racers were airlifted to medical facilities prior to the race, which subsequently faced delays and a reduction in length.
Spaniard Rueda, who secured the championship with four races remaining in Indonesia earlier this month, is suspected to have sustained a hand fracture.
