The Wales Euro 2025 team bus was involved in a traffic accident en route to their pre-match press conference in St Gallen.
The Football Association of Wales has confirmed that all players and staff on board the bus emerged without injuries.
However, BBC Sport Wales reports that an ambulance was present at the location, attending to the driver of the other vehicle involved.
Head coach Rhian Wilkinson and captain Angharad James were not present on the bus, as they were attending Wales’ press conference ahead of Wednesday’s Group D match against France.
“Everyone is OK,” stated Wales head coach Rhian Wilkinson.
“Our immediate priority is to gather them together and remove them from the scene. We will conduct thorough check-ins to ensure their continued well-being.”
“The situation is actively developing, and we are committed to providing clear and transparent updates as they become available.”
“Based on initial reports, it appears that everyone is unharmed. Our focus is now on reuniting the team and safely removing them from the area for a comprehensive reassessment.”
“Importantly, initial indications suggest that the driver of the other vehicle is also uninjured. We will provide further updates as soon as we have definitive confirmation.”
As a result of the incident, the Wales training session initially scheduled for Tuesday at the stadium has been cancelled. However, Wilkinson’s squad may undertake training later in the day.
