Video: Israeli Forces Intercept Gaza-Bound Aid Ship

Video footage shows the interception of a yacht carrying activists, including Greta Thunberg, attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The twelve activists aboard the *Madleen* were detained by Israeli forces and the vessel was towed to the port of Ashdod.

Organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, the voyage aimed to challenge the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza since 2007.

Departing June 1st, the activists sought to highlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, exacerbated by the blockade’s restrictions on aid delivery. The mission carried a limited supply of humanitarian goods.

Israel dismissed the flotilla as a publicity stunt and stated its intent to deport the activists.
