Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry Urges Citizens to Avoid Conflict-Related Provocations

The Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement urging citizens to resist provocation and inflammatory rhetoric related to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

The statement notes that recent tensions in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Iran, have intensified, resulting in armed conflict. This is causing serious concern not only regionally but also globally.

The escalating conflict poses a significant threat to regional stability and peace. These events, most importantly, inflict severe consequences on ordinary citizens—the civilian population, especially children and women.

“The Republic of Uzbekistan views war not as a means of resolving problems, but as a phenomenon that poses a serious threat to human life, stability, and development. There are no victors in war. The greatest losses are always suffered by ordinary people, and this is happening now,” the Ministry’s statement reads.

The statement emphasizes Uzbekistan’s consistent commitment to a peaceful foreign policy.

“In this regard, we urge citizens of Uzbekistan to maintain peace, tolerance, and responsible civic engagement. Refusing to judge conflicts based on religious, racial, or other affiliations, and countering any propaganda of hatred and hostility—this is our shared duty.

We also urge citizens not to succumb to various provocations and offensive appeals, but to maintain restraint and a balanced approach to current events.

We remind everyone that preserving national and religious harmony within society is the most important guarantee of overall stability and security,” the ministry’s message concludes.

The Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its commitment to the peaceful resolution of all conflicts based on international law and diplomatic dialogue. Relationships founded on peace and mutual respect remain a priority of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy.
