Uzbekistan Urges Citizens to Avoid Travel to Israel and Iran

Amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory urging its citizens to refrain from visiting Israel and Iran. Spokesperson Akrom Burkhanov stated that the rapidly deteriorating situation is of serious concern to the Uzbek government. Uzbekistan calls upon all parties in the region to pursue peaceful resolutions. In light of the current circumstances, citizens are advised to postpone any travel plans to both countries. Those currently in Israel and Iran are encouraged to relocate to safer areas if possible. The government is taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of its citizens and advises them to remain vigilant and monitor official announcements closely.

The advisory follows a series of significant military actions. On June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military targets, resulting in substantial casualties, including high-ranking Iranian military officials. In response, Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones against Tel Aviv and other Israeli locations, causing civilian casualties and widespread damage.
