Starting August 1st, Uzbekistan’s minimum wage (MRO) will increase by 10 percent, reaching 1,271,000 UZS. This adjustment will impact the monthly payment for mobilization reserve service.
The mobilization reserve service fee is equivalent to seven times the MRO. Consequently, the monthly payment will rise from 8,085,000 UZS to 8,897,000 UZS in August.
Since 2019, Uzbekistan has maintained an MRO, and the cost of monthly military service has adjusted accordingly with each MRO increase:
Individuals enrolled in the mobilization reserve can pay the fee in a lump sum or through installments over one year. Funds are deposited into the Ministry of Defense’s special account, the “Mobilization Reserve Fund.”
These funds support stipends for conscripted soldiers, strengthen the ministry’s logistical capabilities, and provide for reservists themselves.
Citizens can join the mobilization reserve before turning 27. Reservists may participate in monthly military drills and, in emergencies or armed aggression against Uzbekistan, may be called to active duty.
