Uzbekistan’s President facilitated the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for 115-year-old World War II veteran, Ruzibboy Sattorov, from Kashkadarya region: a flight on a military aircraft. This was reported by the Kashkadarya regional administration press service.
On May 8th, in advance of the May 9th Remembrance Day, the regional governor, Murodjon Azimov, visited Mr. Sattorov’s home to deliver the President’s congratulations and a monetary award.
The veteran, from Kamashinsky district, is 115 years old and is recognized as the oldest living participant of the war in the region.
On May 10th, accompanied by military and medical personnel, Ruzibboy Sattorov realized his wish, taking a flight aboard a C-295 military aircraft. The flight was arranged at the behest of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
