The Ministry of Internal Affairs has introduced a draft law for public discussion, proposing a separate short-term tariff for tinting the front and rear windows of cars during the summer season.
The project suggests amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution “On measures to regulate the operation of vehicles with tinted (darkened) windows.”
According to the amendments, it is planned to introduce a permit for tinting the rear and front side windows of category M1 vehicles (passenger cars), issued annually from May 1 to August 31.
The cost of the permit for individuals and legal entities will be one base calculation value (412,000 soums). For legal entities of foreign states operating in Uzbekistan, the fee will be five BCVs (2.06 million soums). Regardless of the date of registration, the fee for a short-term permit will be charged in full.
The permit issued for 1 year for tinting the rear and front side windows remains the same:
The discussion of this draft law will continue until August 22.
