UAE Invests in Uzbek Waste-to-Energy Plant (PHOTOS)

TASHKENT /Trend/ – Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held talks on May 13th with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by Envirol’s CEO, Elham Pourtangestani, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Discussions focused on the prospect of constructing Central Asia’s first biofuel waste-processing plant in Uzbekistan. The parties agreed on concrete steps for the project’s timely and successful implementation.

Furthermore, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in fostering a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

Established in Dubai in 2006, Envirol is a joint venture with the Emirate government, specializing in used oil recycling. A subsidiary of Alserkal Group, the company boasts a production capacity exceeding 500,000 liters per day.
