UAE Extradites 12 Wanted Uzbek Citizens

The United Arab Emirates has extradited 12 citizens to Uzbekistan who were wanted by law enforcement authorities. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During a virtual meeting, the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed bilateral cooperation in intensifying and conducting operational-search measures to identify and extradite criminals. Confirmation was received for the extradition of three wanted individuals for various offenses.

A constructive discussion was held with the leadership of the Abu Dhabi Interpol NCB and the Dubai Police regarding criminal elements originating from Uzbekistan who are hiding and settling in the UAE. During the initial part of the negotiations, the Arab and Uzbek sides exchanged lists of suspects and wanted individuals.

In the second part of the meeting, officers from the Tashkent Interpol NCB reached an agreement on the extradition of 12 wanted criminals to carry out the extradition process to Uzbekistan in order to bring them before the country’s judicial authorities.
