President Donald Trump has announced the United States will administer Venezuela until a “proper transition can take place.”
On January 3rd, the United States launched military operations against Venezuela, resulting in the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
President Trump stated that Maduro and his wife were apprehended at a fortified residence and will be transferred to New York. He reported “a few injuries but no deaths on our side.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that Maduro faces indictment in New York on charges related to drugs and weapons, asserting he will “face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts.”
Venezuela has declared a national emergency, condemning what it describes as “extremely serious military aggression.”
