On the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Avaza, a trilateral meeting took place between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov. Issues of expanding mutually beneficial regional cooperation and promoting joint projects were discussed.
Opportunities for cooperation were noted, primarily in the areas of energy, transport and logistics, industry, and agriculture.
An agreement was reached to continue contacts in this format to develop promising projects for practical cooperation.
