Spoiler warning: This article reveals details from Sunday’s elimination
The competition is intensifying on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing 2025, as another pairing has been eliminated, leaving just four couples in contention.
Lewis Cope, known for his role in Emmerdale, and his professional partner Katya Jones found themselves in the bottom two after this week’s musical-themed performances, alongside reality TV personality Amber Davies and her partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Ultimately, the judging panel elected to send Cope home, whose Salsa was set to “Dance At The Gym” from West Side Story.
Davies, who performed a Charleston to “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat” from Guys And Dolls, advances to the semi-finals, joining Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, and Karen Carney.
“It’s been more than I could have ever wished for,” Cope reflected on his experience after his elimination on Sunday.
“If someone would have said that I’d have done 11 weeks on the show at the beginning, I’d have been over the moon.”
He also expressed his gratitude to Jones, stating, “You’ve literally given me absolutely everything I could wish for as a friend, as a teacher.”
Jones reciprocated the sentiment, describing Cope as a “gentleman,” and praising him as “so humble and so kind.”
“I’m so glad that we had a chance to see you and showcase your talent, and what a beautiful person you are to the world,” she added.
Davies and Kuzmin achieved the highest score on Saturday’s leaderboard for their performance, attaining a perfect score.

The remaining four couples will compete in the semi-final next weekend, broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 18:35 GMT on Saturday, December 13th, with the results show airing at 19:45 GMT on Sunday.
Each couple will present two new routines, and the program will feature performances from Kylie Minogue and the boyband Five.
