South Korea has acquired six pedigree service dogs from Uzbekistan, as reported by the State Customs Committee press service.
The six Labrador Retrievers were shipped to South Korea via Tashkent International Airport. Prior to departure, the animals successfully underwent all necessary veterinary examinations and diagnostics. All documentation required for international transport was also completed.
“Today, Korean customs officials received the service dogs named Jessie, Bella, Farona, Rada, Faiz, and Fariz. After completing the adaptation period, they will be assigned to service,” the statement said.
The dogs were bred at the National Cynological Center of Uzbekistan and trained to work in the field of drug enforcement. It is noted that service animals of this category are currently demonstrating high efficiency in international airports and seaports.
“The National Cynological Center is consistently increasing its export potential in training high-class service dogs and supplying them to foreign partners,” the committee noted.
According to the agency, the total number of service dogs exported from Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea has reached 12.
