Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the new Slovenian Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Alenka Suhadolnik (resident in Moscow), on May 12, the Dunyo News Agency reports.
“We accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Uzbekistan, H.E. Alenka Suhadolnik.
We are confident that her appointment will open up broad opportunities to strengthen and expand multifaceted bilateral relations between our countries,” the Uzbek Foreign Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Minister highlighted the rich and promising agenda for bilateral relations in 2025, emphasizing that strengthening cooperation across various sectors is a top priority for both nations.
Alenka Suhadolnik succeeds Darja Bavdaž Kuret, who headed the Slovenian diplomatic mission in Tashkent from 2024-2025.
Uzbekistan and Slovenia established diplomatic relations on January 16, 1995.
