Shavkat Mirziyoyev Expresses Condolences Following Russian Plane Crash

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has extended his condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin following the tragic loss of life in the passenger plane crash in the Amur region, reports UzA.

The head of state conveyed his deepest sympathies and support to the families of the victims.

On the morning of July 24, an An-24 passenger plane, en route from Khabarovsk to Blagoveshchensk and Tynda, disappeared from radar screens in the Amur region of Russia.

According to local media, the An-24 was preparing to land but was unable to do so on its first attempt, subsequently initiating a go-around. Contact was lost thereafter. The aircraft was carrying 49 people, including five children and six crew members.

Following search operations, the wreckage of the plane was discovered 15 kilometers from Tynda Airport. Tragically, there were no survivors. A criminal investigation has been launched into the incident.
