President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Turkmenistan on a working visit at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedow on August 4, to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, according to the President’s press service, reports.
The upcoming Conference, to be held in Avaza, will address key issues of strengthening transport connectivity and simplifying trade procedures, economic transformation, increasing resilience to climate change and environmental challenges, and achieving progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration and Programme of Action is anticipated.
The head of state will also participate in an event dedicated to the preparation of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, and will hold a series of bilateral talks.
