President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Azerbaijan on July 2 at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan for a state visit. This was reported by the President’s press service.
According to the program of stay in Baku, the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council and other high-level events will be held. Issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance will be considered.
The leader of Uzbekistan will also participate in the next summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which will be held in the city of Khankendi.
