Ryan Naderi Completes Move to Rangers as Fourth Winter Signing
Rangers Football Club has announced the acquisition of striker Ryan Naderi from Hansa Rostock, a third-tier German club, for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old, born in Dresden, has committed to what the Ibrox side describes as “a long-term deal.” Naderi has recorded 13 goals and nine assists in 45 appearances for Hansa since joining from Borussia Monchengladbach in August 2024.
Notably, eight goals and five assists have come in 18 appearances this season, contributing to Hansa Rostock’s current sixth-place standing in 3 Liga.
Rangers’ head coach, Danny Rohl, stated on the club’s website: “While still early in his playing career, he has demonstrated a keen eye for goal in Germany, complemented by numerous assists that showcase his high skill level.”

Rohl added, “He possesses considerable potential, and we believe we can further develop his game to reach new heights.”
Following his move to the Scottish Premiership, Naderi expressed his enthusiasm on Rangers’ website, stating: “I intend to capitalize fully on this opportunity.”
Naderi holds dual German and Bulgarian citizenship through his father and is also eligible to represent the Czech Republic through his mother.
He began his youth career with local club Dynamo Dresden before joining Monchengladbach’s academy, where he played for their reserve team before his transfer to Hansa.
Naderi’s arrival marks Rangers’ fourth signing of the January transfer window, following the loan acquisition of winger Andreas Skov Olsen from Wolfsburg, midfielder Tochi Chukwuani from Sturm Graz, and defender Tuur Rommens from Westerlo.
His signing coincides with midfielder Joe Rothwell’s permanent transfer from Rangers to Sheffield United on deadline day, while centre-half Clinton Nsiala has joined Westerlo on loan with an option to buy.
