Oslo Court Prepares for Trial Involving Crown Princess’ Son

The trial of Marius Borg Høiby, son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is scheduled to commence on Tuesday in Oslo. Mr. Høiby faces a total of 38 charges, including allegations of rape involving four women, assault and threats against a former girlfriend, property damage to her residence, as well as drug-related offenses and traffic violations.

If convicted on all counts, Mr. Høiby could potentially face a prison sentence exceeding 10 years.

On Sunday, Mr. Høiby was taken into custody for the fourth time since his initial detention by law enforcement in August 2024.

These proceedings coincide with the emergence of connections between his mother and the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
