Following reports of a passenger plane crash in India, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has issued a statement.
The ministry confirmed that no Uzbekistani citizens were among the passengers on the ill-fated flight.
“We received with deep sorrow the news of the plane crash in India. We offer our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims of this tragedy. According to preliminary data, there were no citizens of Uzbekistan on this flight,” the MFA statement reads.
It has now been confirmed that there were no survivors among those on board.
