The Bulls mounted a strong comeback to defeat Edinburgh in Pretoria, securing their place in the United Rugby Championship semi-finals against either the Sharks or Munster.

Edinburgh initially established a commanding 16-point lead, with Wes Goosen scoring early and Ross Thompson adding two tries, sandwiching a try by the hosts’ Cameron Hanekom.

However, tries from David Kriel and Harold Vorster narrowed the Bulls’ deficit before halftime.

Jake White’s Bulls seized control after the break. Canan Moodie’s breakthrough try put them ahead for the first time, and Keagan Johannes extended their lead with a fifth try.

Sean Everitt’s Edinburgh side attempted a comeback with scores from Ewan Ashman and another from Goosen, but the Bulls maintained their advantage to reach the semi-finals as the home team.

This marks Edinburgh’s second semi-final defeat in four weeks, following their loss to eventual Challenge Cup winners Bath.

The Sharks and Munster will clash in Durban later (20:30 BST) to determine the Bulls’ semi-final opponent.
