A multi-vehicle collision in central Mexico has tragically claimed the lives of at least 21 individuals, a local official has confirmed.
The accident, involving three vehicles, occurred Wednesday morning on the highway connecting Cuacnopalan and Oaxaca in the state of Puebla, according to Samuel Aguilar Pala, a local government official.
Mr. Pala reported that 18 fatalities were recorded at the scene, with three additional victims succumbing to their injuries later at a hospital.
Multiple individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care, he reported via X.
