In an interview with BBC Sport NI’s Stephen Watson, defending Masters champion Rory McIlroy stated he “couldn’t have asked for more” after an opening round of five under par.
McIlroy concluded day one at Augusta National tied with Sam Burns and believes that winning the title last year “makes it easier to handle difficult situations”.
