Matteo Manassero and Ryan Fox share the lead after a captivating third round at the Canadian Open.
Both players fired impressive rounds of 64, each featuring seven birdies and a single bogey, propelling them to 14-under-par.
Manassero, reflecting on his performance, noted a strong round despite a brief stumble on the 17th hole, quickly rectified with a final-hole birdie. He emphasized his mental approach, treating each shot with equal focus and composure.
This Canadian Open represents Manassero’s pursuit of a first PGA Tour victory, while Fox aims for his second, following his recent Myrtle Beach Classic triumph.
Fox acknowledged the strong competition, anticipating a low score will be necessary for victory.
Lee Hodges and Kevin Yu, each with a stellar round of 63 (-7), are closely trailing along with Matt McCarty. David Skinns’s 65 (-5) propelled him to 11-under-par, alongside several others, including overnight leader Cameron Champ.
Champ’s round of 71 (+1) at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley saw a significant shift in standings.
Danny Willett (67) and Shane Lowry (68) are one stroke further back at 10-under-par.
